ROBYN Middup-Jones has been promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt with the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain (TAGB).

She achieved the goal when 500 black belts journeyed to the National Taekwondo Academy in Bristol on Friday to trial their skills in front of the full TAGB Committee including Grand Master Oliver, 9th Degree Chairman of both the TAGB and the British Taekwondo.

Robyn moved Taekwondo clubs last year and found Wyre Forest Taekwondo, having done all previous gradings with another association.

She was welcomed into the close club and found new challenges, new focus and new friends which have helped carry her through to her next grading.

On the day she remembered all the new and altered routines and impressing the judges with her high standard of technique, power and sparring skill.

Instructor Katie Billingham said: "In a world of technology and our youth obsessed with screen time, its refreshing and inspiring to work with a 14-year-old who has already dedicated seven years of her life to her passion.

"I feel very privileged that she chose our school out of all of the other fantastic clubs in the area, she is a real asset to the club and someone that the young members really look up to.”

The club is now waiting eagerly for the results of the 13-local people who graded for their black belts on Saturday. For more information please contact Katie on 07885 293088 or email info@wyreforesttaekwondo.com
