RISING star Jemima Stanhope recovered from a shaky start on the beam to claim a bronze medal at the West Midlands Regional Gymnastics Championships.
She was one of eight girls representing Kidderminster based Wyre Forest Gymnastic School at the competition.
Stanhope was competing at level three age group 13-plus where a score in excess of 43.00 points would take her to the next level.
She put her disappointing beam display aside to perform superbly on floor, vault and bars to achieve an overall score of 45.1. At the same category, Rose Welburn scored 43.75.
In the level three age 11 to 12 category, Sophie Garbett scored 45.8, while Sophie Welburn totalled 44.35.
Level four competitors had to better a score of 42.50 to progress and Lucy Driver led the way with a score of 42.65 in the 10 and 11 age group.
Hannah Wedgwood scored 41.85 while Rubie Tapsell-Smith totalled 41.3.
Megan Garbett scored 38.2 in level four age group 12 plus group.
