KIRSTY Jones bagged a hat-trick as Wyre Forest Phoenix Ladies saw off Droitwich Spa 6-1 to ensure their pace at the top of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County League.

Phoenix boast a three point lead over Hereford Pegasus after bagging a fourth win in a row.

Jones opened the scoring after being set up by Kat Meredith but Spa bagged an equaliser.

But another Jones strike and a brace for Chelsea Mudge ensured Wyre Forest powered into a 4-1 half-time lead.

The goal-getter completed her hat-trick before Tracy Evans finished the scoring off for Phoenix. Leah Wilcox also had a goal ruled out for offside.

The under-10s were edged out in their derby clash with Droitwich 2-1, despite Ellie Symon’s goal.

Morgan Lawley bagged a brace and Hannah Bolt, Naomi Wilkinson and Sophie Hadley also scored as the under-15s defeated Withymoor Colts 5-2.

The under-16s went down 8-2 to Droitwich Spa Terriers. Eilidh Shakespeare scored twice for Phoenix.
