KIDDERMINSTER retained the Jubilee Trophy after seeing off Stourbridge in the annual tournament.
The Wyre Forest club occupied the first five places to make sure the silverware did not go back to the Black Country for the eighth year running.
First place went to John Gatehouse and Mark Smith with a nett score of 132 played over two days, followed by Paul Upton and Craig Richardson (132) in second and Martin Ward and Peter Goode (144) in third.
The Kidderminster Ladies Open AM-AM winners were Jane Freeman, Sue Hunt, Janice Kerr and Anna Rock with 75 points.
The Scott Shield (Ladies v Gents) was retained by the men with result of 5-3.
Meanwhile, Cleobury Mortimer’s ever popular double roll-up was won by rookie Jack Severn.
Tom Pain, Andrew Thomas, Gerry Redmond and Gordon Moriaty posted some commanding scores but just missed out on the prizes.
Bryan Colley shot 39 points to grab third, Tom Wright continued his fantastic form with 40 to see his handicap cut to 0.9, this score was also good enough to give him second place.
The weekend belonged to Severn who shot a career best gross 80 to give him 44 points.
Severn, who has been selected for Worcestershire, made the most of the Saturday sunshine with a storming back nine score of 24 points to blow the field away.
Final standings: 1 Jack Severn 44 points (Ashworth top, Galvin Green hat and balls £75); 2 Tom Wright 40 (Galvin Green belt £50); 3 Bryan Colley 39 (CMGC logo top £35).
