KCs and Crummy win Shuttle awards

Juniors from Kidderminster Carolians. Juniors from Kidderminster Carolians.

KIDDERMINSTER and Carolians RFC and Brendan Crummy have emerged triumphant to win The Shuttle's Sports Club and Personality of the Year awards.

KCs became the first winner of the club competition, which was being held for the first time.

They saw off a stiff challenge from Kidderminster and Stourport AC, Kidderminster Lions FC, Wyre Forest CRC, Bewdley Tennis Club and Wyre Forest Swimming Club.

Meanwhile, Judo Samurai Club’s Brendam Crummy topped our online poll to find the Sports Personality of the Year.

He got the most votes in a high quality field, which included Olympians Amy Smith and Alison Young, as well as Paralympic medal winner Claire Cashmore and tandem duo Phil Hunt and Chris Morris.

For winners' reaction to the win, read next week's edition of The Shuttle.

As a member, I was delighted to hear of this accolade. The clubs many dedicated volunteers are focused on ensuring rugby is developed across all age groups and that club is a great place for all to be welcomed to. Well done KCRFC
