A TRIO from Wyre Forest Swimming Club won gold in the distance races at the Worcestershire County Championships at the weekend.

Millie Jay, 12, won the 1,500 metres and there was also success for Jack Rowley, 15, in the 800m, which he clinched in nine minutes and 26.41 seconds.

Jonathan McMahon was first in the 14-year-old 800m in 9.56.31.
