KIDDERMINSTER’S Lee Page suffered a first round exit at the UK Snooker Championships taking place at the Barbican Centre in York.
The 26-year-old, currently on his third stint on the professional main tour, was beaten 6-1 by Derby’s Michael Holt, the world number 21.
Breaks of 50 in frame one and 78 in frame three helped Holt to open up a 3-0 lead before page hit back to take a close fourth.
But Holt then hit top gear rolling in runs of 91 and an 89 to seal victory.
