BEWDLEY rider Ross Danby produced a perfect display to win Redditch Motorcycle Club’s Christmas Pudding Trial on Sunday.
A hundred strong entry from across the UK descended on Astwood Bank near Redditch to compete.
But former Lacon Childe School student Danby stood out in the Pro Elite Expert class on his factory-built Jotagas bike.
He produced a fine display and did not drop a single mark to win, pipping Ben Sprigg into second place.
Steve Harris returned to competitive action following a broken thumb and finished in eighth.
Adam Cope took a creditable 11th place.
In the competitive clubman class, Ian Strudley finished 12th, but Ian Cook from Crabbs Cross came outside the championship points.
The masters class saw Dave Fowler on his Italian Beta make too many mistakes and finish in a disappointing 18th place.
In the over-40s category, Russell Sprigg from secured a creditable seventh.
