CRICKET: Winter training for young cricketers aged nine and under starts next week, cementing a partnership between Kidderminster Victoria Cricket Club and Heathfield School, Wolverley.

Youngsters from seven can take part in the coaching led by the club’s professional head coach, Mark Bennett, from next Wednesday.

“We are delighted to be back at Heathfield and hope to encourage boys and girls from all over Kidderminster along as well as pupils from the school,” said Beadsworth.

It is the second year running the club has teamed up with the school to run the training, and two free taster sessions are on offer to newcomers.

Training for u10s to u16s restarts on Monday, 6pm-8pm at Winterfold School.

Newcomers are offered two free taster sessions. The normal charge is £4.

KVCC’s junior section enters teams in competitive leagues and cup competitions at all age groups from u10 to u17 and enters u9s in softball contests.
