WYRE Forest Phoenix Ladies booked their place in the County Cup final after seeing off Hereford Pegasus 3-1.
Molly Maguire, 17, has come through the development ranks of the youth and county women’s team to earn her place in the team and opened her scoring account in the seventh minute.
Player of the match Chelsea Mudge, who played as a lone striker, came close with two efforts.
Mudge saw a chance early in the second half go wide but she finally doubled Phoenix’s lead after linking up well with Kirsty Jones.
Jones performed a bit of magic of her own, going around two players and smashed the ball into the top corner for a 3-0 lead.
While Pegasus did get a consolation goal in the 80th minute, it could not prevent Ladies from reaching the final for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile in the Hereford and Worcester League, Wyre Forest paid the price for a month of enforced inactivity as they lost 8-0 at Ludlow Town.
