CYCLING: Almost 40 women riders turned up to a British Cycling coaching session in Stourport on Sunday despite the windy and wet conditions.
With several riders now showing a racing ability, they will have a chance to put their new found confidence to the test in the Go Ride novice ladies only race in Solihull this Sunday.
This will be the first race in a series to encourage women into cycling for leisure riding and racing.
Entries will be accepted on the day, but further information is available at cycling@stepholmes.co.uk
Meanwhile, Wyre Forest CRC’s Shaun Hickinbottom secured third and fourth places finishes in the Woolley Mamil Winter Series on Stourport track.
