RUNNING: Kidderminster and Stourport AC runner Christine Sedman-Smith produced her fastest time yet at the Standard Chartered Dubai 10km road race.
She posted a time of 46 minutes and 39 seconds, shaving nine seconds off last year’s time as she won the over-60s women’s section.
It was a different course this year being near Burj al Arab and running along the beach road.
Overall Sedman-Smith finished an impressive 48th out of 3,200 competitors.
She was supported and chased by her daughter Rosalind, who lives in Dubai, and posted a time of 49.51.
Sedman-Smith is currently ranked second on the UK Athletics list in her age group for the 10km Road Races
