Challenge is set for chess players

CHESS: The first Bewdley chess challenge is due to take place on Sunday, April 13, 11am at Wribbenhall parish rooms.

The event will be a six round tournament with each player having 20 minutes on the clock to decide the game. The entry fee is £3 (£2 for juniors).

All players in Wyre Forest are welcome to take part and should contact either John Wrench on 07913 227402 or Jim Friar on 07501 336372.

The Bewdley club meets every Wednesday lunchtime between 12pm and 2pm. New members are welcome whatever their standard of play. The venue is St Anne’s Church, Load Street, Bewdley.
