WOLVERLEY’S Eclipse Martial Arts school came away with four titles from the ICO Celtic Open in Wales at the weekend.

Callum Hawkins was the star for the Wyre Forest kickboxing club with two titles in Pontypool.

Dillion Elrick returned from a ten month break to compete in the points fighting category and to take his title.

Meanwhile, Chloe Elrick and club mate Megan Smith fought their way to the final of the girls’ kick-boxing to set up an all Eclipse bout.

Despite being good friends and training partners, they gave their all and put on a display which wowed the crowd.

After a close battle, the former clinched the title and Smith had to settle for second.

Six-year-old Hawkins, who was the youngest member of the team in Wales, fought amazingly well in his points category.

He recorded 9-2 and 11-5 points victories before defeating his opponent in the final 10-0 with just 12 seconds to spare in the allocated 90.

The tiny powerhouse then went on to enter the peewee kick-boxing section.

He put on further amazing displays of skill, talent and forward thinking to outwit and beat his opponents with ease to claim a double.
