KIDDERMINSTER Victoria booked their place in the semi-finals of the Graham Williamson Trophy after seeing off Barnt Green.

The Chester Road side will tackle Shrewsbury away on May 5 in the last four and their confidence will be high after a seven-wicket victory.

Richard Kimberlin claimed the first three wickets as Ed Pollock (10), Nathan Newport (11) and Tom Burton (0) all went cheaply.

Connor Smith (2-20) took the key wicket when Green skipper Andy Sutton was bowled on 41 runs.

KVCC’s opponents slipped to 127 all out, with skipper Jon Wright also taking three wickets.

In reply, opening pair Matt Pardoe and Craig Wood had a stand of 59 before Wood (22) was out leg before to Sutton.

Michael Hill was dismissed first ball then, with the score on 80, Neil Pinner was out, caught and bowled by Tom Brown, having scored eight.

But an unbeaten 48 partnership between Zac Turley (34) and Matt Pardoe (45) guided Kidderminster to 128-3.

KVCC open their Birmingham League season on Saturday with a match at Walmley (noon start), while the 2nd XI are at home to Halesowen with a (12.30pm start ).

The National T20 match against Barnt Green was rained off and will be replayed at Kidderminster on Monday, May 5 (2pm start).
