BEWDLEY will once again be looking to return to Worcestershire County League Division One.
The Mill Lane outfit have came close in recent seasons to winning promotion and it is now their top priority.
Matt Cowdery has replaced Rob Combes as first team skipper.
Combes has taken the chairman’s role but will continue to play for the firsts.
“We’ve got a very experienced solid team so we’re looking once again to win promotion to Division One,” said the new skipper.
“We tend to get off to a good start but fade a bit, so hopefully we can keep it up.
“I am excited about being skipper and am looking forward to the season.”
Andy Platt and his son Dan have joined from Stourport, but Bewdley lost Aaron Collin, who returned to his native New Zealand after breaking his ankle.
Bewdley’s season has endured a frustrating start as their season opener at Burghill and Tillington was abandoned without a ball being bowled in anger because of the weekend’s torrential rain.
They entertain Worcester Dominies on Saturday (1pm start).
