COOKLEY are top of the Worcestershire County League Division Two after picking up extra points during their abandoned clash against Oldswinford.
They had held their rivals from the Black Country to 100-5 but did not get a chance to reply as the rain came down, but it was enough to earn seven points.
Cookley take on Rushwick at home on Saturday (1pm start).
Meanwhile, the seconds got in the Eurovision mood with ‘nil points’ against Redditch.
From 48-0 they suffered a dreadful batting collapse to 81 all out.
Redditch knocking off the runs quickly, making 82-2, before the inevitable downpour.
l Muhammad Siddiq was the hero as Chaddesley Corbett defeated Old Vigornians by eight wickets in Division Three.
Siddiq took five wickets for 18 runs as Vigs were dismissed for 97. Joe Lawton (36no) and Chris Mole (46) steered Corbett to 99-2 in reply. They entertain Stourport on Saturday (1pm start).
