MUHAMMAD Saddiq was the match-winner for Chaddesley Corbett as they saw off Stourport by four wickets in the Worcestershire County League Division Three.
He was the hero with the bat and ball after Corbett had won the toss and elected to bowl.
Saddiq took six wickets for 25 runs, dismissing Spencer Colley (7), Christian Parry (0), Neil Bailey (30), Gavin Bryan (0) and Lee Waldron (0) as Stourport were dismissed for 125 in 33 overs.
Chris Mole (2-42), Shahed Zia (1-31) and Rob Hirons (1-24) shared the rest of the wickets.
Corbett’s reply got off to a shaky start when they lost Nigel Middleton (2) and Mohammed Ramzan (5), but Joe Lawton (17), Mole (19) and Zakria Mukhtar (11) steadied the ship.
But it was Saddiq’s unbeaten 37 that steered Corbett to 126-6 in the 38th over.
Waldron (2-23) and Matt Delo (2-30) took the wickets for Stourport.
Chaddesley go to Alvechurch on Saturday, while Stourport are at Netherton (1pm starts).
