WYRE Forest Swimming Club won a very competitive third round of the Ross PGL league to qualify for the final in June.

There were two wins for Nathan Hawkins and Harriet Tarpey , as well as victories for Archie Bellingham, Freya Bowling, Matilda Calder, Eden Fallon-Davies, Alex Farmer, Tom Guest and Will Robbins.

In the relays, there were successes for Olivia Bellingham, Matilda Calder, Charlotte Holford and Harriet Tarpeyin the under-10s medley and the foursome of Tom Guest, Adam Newey, Alfie Myers and Ethan Gilbert in the boys.

There were also wins for Robert Darbyshire, Eddie Cox, Ethan Gilbert and Myers in the under-10s freestyle.

In the under-11s, Eden Fallon-Davies, Imogen Cook, Ria Chance, Matilda Calder won the medley relay.

Olivia Bellingham joined Fallon-Davies, Cook and Chance to take the freestyle, while in the 13/14 age section, Rosie Lane, Lucy Watkiss, Grace Bowling and Tia Clayton came first in the freestyle.

At the Northampton Open, Meg Tinsdale won the 17-year-old 100 metre freestyle, 100m backstroke and Open, missing her national time by 0.07 of a second She was second in the 50m backstroke, 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle, while Calum Tinsdale (16yrs 200m freestyle) and Nicole Tanser-Voets (11yrs 50m butterfly) were also runners-up.

There were third place finishes for Olivia Jay (11yrs 100m breaststroke), Emily Seymour-Perry (11yrs 50m backstroke), Izzy Bowers (14yrs 50m backstroke, Calum Tinsdale (50 freestyle, 100m backstroke).

Emma Osborne picked up third spots in the 13-year-old 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle (PB of 30.59s).

Meanwhile, Sam Osborne qualified for the National Age Group Championship in 100m and 200m butterfly.

Calum Tinsdale, John McMahon, Matt Newey and Ryan Larkin were selected to represent Worcestershire in the three Counties Gala in Gloucester on Sunday.
