OCEAN Designs have had a brilliant season in league and cups.

The team secured their highest ever finish in the Kidderminster and District Sunday Premier and won two pieces of silverware during one of their best campaigns.

The Kidderminster-based team built on their promotion success in the 2012-13 campaign to go throughout 2014 unbeaten.

Victory on the final day also made sure of the runners-up spot, which is their highest finish.

The team have enjoyed a remarkable run of form, winning every single league game since Christmas to secure their lofty position.

They finished 12 points behind runaway championships Woodside United, who won 14 of their 16 league games.

Up against Haden Rangers on the final day of the season, Designs romped to a 9-3 victory to seal their league position. Dan Hickman was the hero as he bagged a hat-trick.

They followed up that success by defeating Woodside 3-2 to lift the Roy Marchant Cup at Stourport Swifts.

Edward Flory grabbed a brace and Jason Wellings scored one as Designs put the finishing touches to a fine campaign.

The team added more silverware last week as they secured the Evesham Cup by defeating Fladbury 4-1, who play in the Evesham League Division One.

Garry Price, Steve Holt, Richard Burgess and Richard Costello all hit the back of the net.

Manager Ryan Carrington said: “As manager I can not thank the players and back room staff enough for all there hard work and commitment during the season.

“We have a talented squad of local players who just want to win trophies, they are all a pleasure to work with and deserve all the success they can get.”

Meanwhile, Netherton Athletic clinched the title in the Saturday Premier. They edged out Wyre Forest by one point.

TS Units topped Division One and Netherton Colts Sen clinched Division Two. Tap House, Redman, Lionfields and Stourbridge Celta Lions won Divisions Three, Four, Five and Six respectively.
