A BRILLIANT 70 from Michael Pratt helped Stourport to edge out Netherton in a thrilling Division Three encounter.

Pratt’s fine innings anchored the Wyre Forest side, who had lost five batsman cheaply, and he was also supported ably by William Downes (32) and Matt Delo (26) as Stourport made 177-9.

In reply, Netherton lost early wickets before rallying and falling just two runs short.

Craig Siwicki (3-46 )and Lee Waldron (2-25) were the pick of the bowlers with Pratt weighing in with 1- 27 at the death to complete a man of the match performance.

This Saturday, Stourport welcome Ross on Wye to Walshes Meadow (1pm start).

The seconds lost to Pedmore. Pedmore made 216-9 in their 50 overs, with spinners Josh Harrison (4-43) and Phil Williams (4-33) taking wickets.

A superb 110 partnership between Mitchel Dwyers (70) and Ethan Lockwood (33), set Stourport up for victory before a mix of good bowling and poor shot selection saw them fall 14 runs short.
