GIFTED youngster Emily Price once again showed her huge potential by winning the Midlands School championships.
The Cleobury Mortimer GC member, 14, has booked her place in the national stages after her regional success.
Eight counties contested the Midlands Championships at Arscott GC in Shrewsbury played over 36 holes.
Price shot a gross 74 around the first 18 and then a gross 70 around the second 18, equalling the course record on the back 18 in very wet conditions with strong winds despite being the youngest competitor there.
This now qualifies her to play in the Under 18 National Competition and automatically qualified to play in the Under-16s.
Price is one of the region’s best young golfers and had produced some fine results.
Her success in the Midlands is hot on the heels of victory at the Shropshire Schools Championships.
