OVER 60 teams will descend on the River Severn to battle it out at Stourport Boat Club’s Works Four Challenge on Saturday.
The Challenge is an annual event where local pubs, clubs, offices, schools and factory teams compete in the region’s biggest community event.
For beginners to the sport, the Works Fours is a great day of fun and frolics, with all the teams dressed to match the theme of their crew. Entering this year are Sink Not Swim, Ocker’s Outcasts, Dirty Oars and Fallen Angels to name just a few crews.
Teams of four compete against each other to win their division and the overall cup.
The race is held on the River Severn from The Angel public house in Stourport to the clubhouse which is approximately 400 metres upstream.
Refreshments and food will be available and entry to the boathouse is free for spectators. For details go to stourportbc.co.uk/works4
