STOURPORT’s Sunday team did manage to play, despite almost all the games in Wyre Forest falling foul of the rain.

Teeanage brothers Sam, 16, and Charlie Foley, 14, were the stars of the show as they shared a 164-run partnership for the fifth wicket, with the former scoring his maiden senior ton and his younger sibling notching a half-century.

Batting first Stourport were quickly reduced to 8-3 as Sam joined Ethan Lockwood, who scored a quickfire 45 to take the score to 77-4.

He was then joined by his younger brother as they helped take the score to 244-5 from their 40 overs. The older Foley finishing on 104 and Charlie on an unbeaten 55.

In reply, Sam also took three wickets to reduce Romsley to 196-8 from their 40 overs.

Stourport’s first team saw their match against Ross abandoned on Saturday. They will be tackling Old Vigornians this weekend in Worcestershire Division Three (1pm start).

Stourport are currently sitting fifth in the table.
