BEWDLEY brothers Sam and Tom Annis were in good form at the Snowdome Junior Club Ski Raceday in Tamworth.

The Callowhill duo were two of the leading lights at the tournament.

Sam, 10, had an amazing weekend by winning the 10 to 16 years age category as well as being crowned overall champion of the day after setting the fastest timed rungainst almost 100 other children.

Younger brother Tom, 8, wasn’t to be outdone and took second place in the seven to nine years age category.

Sam was also in action recently at KJAM – the Kendal Freestyle Ski Championships in May, where he was awarded a silver medal in the Under-12s age category.

This follows on from winning a bronze medal in the Autumn at the British Slopestyle Championships.

The brothers travel all over the country to train and are members the Southern Freestyle Club in Bracknell, Berkshire and also the Junior Club at the Snowdome Tamworth.

Last year both boys were both selected for the South of England Freestyle Development Team.

They are hoping to build on their recent success at the English Slopestyle Championships this weekend.

Both of the brothers are very grateful to their sponsors Surfanic who provide ski clothing and Butta who supply wax to keep their skis in the best of conditions.
