JIM Pickering and Richard Jones produced immaculate displays during Bewdley Motorcycle Club’s third and final round of their Clubman and Beginners Trial series.

Pickering (Drayton Bantam) and Richard Jones (Beta), could not be separated at the finish, both completing the course without loss of marks, while Nigel Spronson (Gas Gas) was third.

Just missing out on a podium finishes, were Josh Borden (Gas Gas) and Bewdley’s Ken Edwards (Gas Gas), losing four and five marks respectively.

The B Route did provide the organisers with a clear winner, but it was by the slenderest of margins.

Phil Pearce (Bantam) and local road racer Guy Taylor (Beta), rode head to head all evening, with the former coming out on top by a single mark. Rounds one and two B Class winner Dave Taylor (BSA) saw his hopes for a hat-trick of wins disappear after an uncharacteristic stall.

Schoolgirl and Bewdley member Elizabeth Tett (Beta), continued her fast improving form, finishing in a fine fourth position.

Stourport’s Kevin Waldron , also a member of the organising club, pushed her all the way and the tie break came into use once again.

On the C route, Tom Deeley saw off Scott Draper in a tie-break, while schoolboy George Yardley (Gas Gas) was third.
