Lions named Community Club of the Year

First published in Sport

KIDDERMINSTER Lions’ position as one of the best junior clubs in the district was confirmed after they were named McDonald’s Community standard club of the year by the Worcestershire FA.

The awards recognise the efforts of clubs working at grassroots football.

It’s another impressive achievement for the Lions, who were formed in 1996.

Lions achieved the FA Charter Standard Club Award in 2004 and since then obtained the top position of the Community Award Status.

The club now have more than 250 players involved and the committee works tirelessly to keep the club running to the high standard it has reached to date.
