That is it! Harriers looked good in the first half but paid the price for a slip at the back but Championship side City saw their extra quality come to the fore. It was a good work out and with a crowd hitting nearly 4,000 a money spinner for Kidderminster.

I will be back for Tuesday night's friendly against Shrewsbury.

I will be back for Tuesday night's friendly against Shrewsbury.

The match attendance is 3,928. Which is a great turn out on both sides. Great effort by everyone!

City's extra quality has definitely told here but ere are plenty of positives for Harriers. They matched the Championship side in the first half only for a defensive error to see them fall behind.

Kidderminster were caught out at he start of the second half and the third came after a host of substitutions when the game was settling down.

Former Birmingam City youngster Reece Hales replaces Obeng.

75- 3-0! Clayton Donaldson fires home.

72- Tyrone Williams is on for Josh Gowling.

Blues also make some changes as Cotterill is replaced by Demari Gray and Andrew Shinnie replaces Thomas.

70- Harriers create a chance. Gash crosses from the left and Obeng chests the ball down but before he can shoot is closed down.

70- Cotterill crosses from the right and earns a City corner.

Nothing comes of it.

66- Off come forwards Nathan Blissett and Craig Reid for strikers Reece Styche and Michael Gash.

61 Three changes for. Clayton Donaldson for Novak, Will Packwood for Grant Hall and Stephen Gleeson for David Edgar.

59- Ahmed Obeng links up weill with Blissett and scores but the flag goes up for offside.

56- Three changes for Harriers. Midfield pair Gittings and Byrne are replaced by O'Keefe and Verma, while Jake Green, brother of injured City forward Matt, is on for Hodgkiss.

55- There seems to be some minor trouble in the Hire It stand, but doesn't look serious.

Chance! Duffy makes a great run and chips the ball over Lewis, who makes some contact, but Ahmed Obeng clears off line.

Goal! Lee Novak's astute first time pass allows Thomas to fire the ball past Lewis. Defence was caught out.

One change at the start of the second half as Jon Grounds replaces Gavin Gunning.

That is the break. Harriers may be trailing but it has been pretty even games. Both keepers have made saves but City are ahead because of Thomas' strike.

45- Save! Obeng gets free on the left and pulls ball back to Reid who fires in a a first time effort which Randolph athletically tips over.

45- Some nice play by Harriers down the right ends in a Hodgkiss headed away.

41- Harriers have a corner to defend but Cotterill's delivery is too long and flies past goal.

40- Chance! Chey Dunkley smashes a shot off the angle. Harriers unlucky not to be level.

After a poor Craig Reid corner, Wes Thomas powers away. Jared Hodgkiss thought he had him covered but the but striker outmuscles him, meets past a stranded Josh Gowling before bearing down on goal and slipping an effort past Lewis.

Goal! Thomas! City 1-0 up!

35- It has gone a bit quiet at the moment. City's supporters are not chanting as much. Both Gary Whild and Lee Clarke are out in the technical area urging their troops forward.

31- Lewis to the rescue again as he beats away another good effort from Cotterill.

28- Danny Lewis tips an effort from Cotterill, who is Blues' most effective attacking player.

25- David Cotterill have been prominent for the away side and from the right he delivers a cross that goes behind for a goal-kick.

21 Ahmed Obeng is sent into the fray for Harriers. The former Rushall forward is very quick.

20- Johnson limps off helped by physio Gavin Crowe. Not what Gary Whild wanted to see. No replacement for him yet.

Johnson took a tumble after that effort and requires some treatment. That is a worry as he is Harriers' main flair player and was looking good.

17- Chance! Callum Gittings spreads the ball wide out to the left and Johnson is free to speed down the left. The wideman stings Randolph's palms with a fierce effort.

16- Birmingham continue to be more pro active and David Cotterill sees a low free-kick fly just wide.

12- Patient build-up by City, who move the ball about nicely and Novak sees a cross to just wide with Thomas lurking.

9- After weathering the first two or three minutes, Harriers are having a go themselves. Reid is trying to get in behind the City defence and Jonson looks bright.

8- Callum Gittings battles with Mitchell Hancox for the ball in City's box but the referee blows for a foul and a goal-kick.

7- Corner for Harriers. Reid's delivery is headed away.

6- Save! Lewis gets down well to a shot from Mark Duffy after a good run and nice ball from Lee Novak.

3- Blues have started well and Wes Thomas hooks an effort over the bar.

Correction in Kidderminster's formation. Harriers are paying four at the back, with Grimes LB and Hodgkiss RB.

Birmingham's Blue contingent has certainly made its prescence met and have filled half the stadium. The home fans are put in numbers but are dwarfed by the mighty travelling army.

Harriers have played Birmingham twice. Famously beating the Blues in The FA Cup in 1994 and losing 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in 2001.

Birmingham boss Lee Clarke has also started a pretty strong line-up but their biggest summer signing Clayton Donaldson starts on the bench.

One of Harriers' new summer additions, Reece Styche, starts on the subs' bench.

Harriers put out a strong side in a for action we think is 3-5-2. Jamie Grimes, Chey Dunkley and Josh Gowling are the three at the back, with Marvin Johnson playing as left wing back and Jared Hodgkiss right wing back.

Villa fans Jack Byrne and Callum Gittings are in midfield with Kyle Storer and Nathan Blissett and Craig Reid up front.

Birmingham: Randolph, Eardley, Gunning, Edgar, Duffy, Thomas, Cotterill, Hall, Hancox, Adeyemi, Novak.

Subs: Grounds, Gleeson, Donaldson, Packwood, Reilly, Lee, Shinnie, Brown, Caddis, Gray, Adams, Preston.

Referee: Steve Bratt.

Harriers: Lewis, Dunkley, Gowling, Grimes, Hodgkiss, Storer, Byrne, Johnson, Gittings, Blissett, Reid.

Subs: Singh, Green, Verma, O'Keefe, Gash, Styche, Obeng, Hales, Williams.

Good afternoon folks, I am in place at Aggborough and enjoying the sunshine. The town is awash with the Royal Blue of City's supporters.
