Local dirt track racers are preparing to race in the Bewdley Grasstrack Bonanza which takes place over two days on the 2nd and 3rd of August at Alveley

Adrian Guest, Rob Fortune and Carl Pugh all hail from Stourport while Rob Finlow, who made it through to the European Final earlier in the season, lives in Kidderminster.

Also competing will be local quad ace Lee Hazelwood from Wolverley who is also a key club member for the meeting hosts Bewdley MCC.

Guest competes in the FGA 125cc class which takes place on the Saturday afternoon with a 2pm start, while Finlow and former speedway professional Fortune compete in the 500cc class in the main event which takes place on Sunday afternoon – first race 12.00 noon. Pugh rides as a passenger in the spectacular 1000cc sidecars and is classed as one of the country’s leading exponents of his trade.

As well as the racing, there will be full catering and bar facilities, a number of displays and side shows and camping is possible on the Saturday night for anyone interested in making a weekend of it at the venue located just off the A442 Kidderminster – Bridgnorth Road
