Stourport Swifts 5, Rocester 0

Karl Fellows and Ashley Parsons-Smith bagged two goals apiece as Swifts ran riot against crisis club Rocester.

The visitors had shipped 14 goals in their opening two league games prompting the dismissal of their manager less than a week into the season.

And although they picked up three points at the weekend, two early goals left them floundering at Walshes Meadow.

Fellows gave the home side the perfect start with a second minute opener before Parsons-Smith struck his first of the night two minutes later with a fine shot from a narrow angle.

Rocester keeper Richard Froggatt had a mixed night but did manage to keep out a Fellows penalty midway through the half following a foul on Paul Hurrell.

Swifts dominated the chances but had to wait until ten minutes into the second half before adding to their tally, Lewis Pountney side-footing home the loose ball after a Ben Maund effort had been pushed away by the keeper.

A mistake from Froggatt led to Stourport’s fourth on 75 minutes, his wayward clearance allowing Parsons-Smith to pounce and he gratefully put the ball into the empty net.

It was Fellows who rounded off the scoring six minutes later following some good work from substitute Luke Morris Swifts: Bunn 7, PARSONS-SMITH 8, Willets 7, Briscoe 7 (Mogg 67, 6), Spencer 7, Walker 7, Cowley 8, Fellows 7, Pountney 7, (Morris 67, 7) Maund 7 (Lavery 67, 6), Hurrell 7
