ASSISTANT boss Mark Creighton believes power house centre forward Nathan Blissett will only get better.

The strapping 24-year-old produced a muscular display as Harriers kicked off their home campaign in the Vanarama Conference with a 3-0 win over Alfreton Town on Tuesday night.

Two several season on the fringes of the first team, the centre forward appears to have upped his game.

Chey Dunkley bagged a brace, while Marvin Johnson headed in a late effort to wrap up a fine night for the Aggborough outfit.

“Nathan is an absolute handul and the thing is he doesn’t know how good he is,” commented Creighton.

“That will come, he is starting to get more and more confident and I think the fans can see that.”

With four points already in the bag after two games, Harriers have made their best start to the season since the 2003-04 season.

“It is pleasing that we seem to be getting better with every game,” added Creighton.

“We’re working on things in training, we’re working hard, the boys are taking on board what we’re saying and doing it without thinking.

“It is pleasing that the work rate is second to none.

“I don’t want to single anybody out but there was a stage in the game where Marvin Johnson saw Jared Hodgkiss was out of position and sprinted 50 yards to play as a full back. A year ago he wouldn’t have done that.

“Having played for Gary Whild, I know lads run through brick walls for him. I am reliving my playing days because I know what it’s like to be managed by Gary.”
