STOUPORT Swifts will be aiming to bounce back from some disappointing Bank Holiday weekend results when they go to Wellington in the FA Cup Preliminary Round on Saturday (3pm ko).

The Walshes Meadow outfit surprisingly lost 3-1 to Shepshed Dynamo on Saturday but earned a battling 1-1 against Walsall Wood on Monday, with Gary Walker bagging a late leveller.

Swifts will be without Alex Cowley, who is on holiday for Saturday’s clash in Hereford.

Chairman Chris Reynolds said: "We were surprised by the defeat to Shepshed as our form had been very good up until then.

"Walsall were a good side, they were very strong and they will cause teams a lot of problems."
