GOALKEEPER Danny Lewis has said tomorrow's heavyweight Vanarama Conference clash against Grimsby Town is another opportunity for Harriers to lay down a marker for the season.

The Aggborough outfit will be looking to build on a solid first ten games and get one over another team tipped for promotion.

The Mariners have assembled a strong and settled squad but after several high-scoring victories over Gateshead and Alfreton, they have won just once in the last five games, although they will be encouraged by their 1-1 draw against Halifax on Tuesday.

Harriers recovered from back-to-back defeats on Tuesday night with a 4-0 win over Altrincham.

Kidderminster passed their first big test of the season a fortnight ago when they saw off highly-rated Gateshead.

He said: "It's a chance to lay down another marker for the season.

"Grimsby will be one of the sides up there at the end of the season and the manager has said results against those teams are a good indicator of our season.

"We've made a good start to the season, although we were disappointed to lose to Braintree and Southport after beating Gateshead.

"The league is very competitive and I am not sure one side is going to runaway with the league."

Harriers' record under manager Gary Whild at home is impressive with just one defeat at Aggborough in 11 games, which was ironically delivered by Saturday's opponents.

Whild is hoping right back Jared Hodgkiss (hamstring) and Callum Gittings overcome minor knocks to be fit.

"We take each game as it comes and prepare right for each," said midfielder Marvin Johnson.

"As long as we work hard I am sure it will be a good game.

"If we work hard for each other, Grimsby might have to change their tactics to cope with this.

"We know they are going to be up there at the end of the season but you want get anywhere you've got to beat those teams."

Grimsby have drafted in York defender Daniel Parslow on a one month loan.
