JUNIOR members of the Wyre Forest Company of Archers enjoyed success at West Midlands and Worcestershire County Championships in Wythall.
In winning the girls’ Bristol V recurve competition with a total score of 1,175 from 141 hits, Freya Palmer became the County of Worcestershire Archery Association Champion.
Lauren Turner finished second with a score of 1,074 from 140 hits and Heike Palmer, 9, placed fifth in her first Bristol V competition with 740 points from 132 hits.
In the Bristol IV recurve competition, Jasmine Simpson finished second in the girls’ category with a score of 846 from 138 hits and Erin Kehoe was third with 654 points from 116 hits, while Harrison Edwards finished fourth with 786 points from 132 hits in the boys under- 12 age group.
Senior Karen McKay won the ladies’ recurve, Palmer the under-12s and Jasmine Simpson the under-14s’.
