MEMBERS of Wyre Forest Swimming Club recorded 44 personal best times at the Worcester County Development meet on Sunday.

Medals went to Robert Darbyshire (10yrs), gold in 50m backstroke and bronze in 50m freestyle, Jeremy Summers(9yrs), silver in 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 100m individual medley, and finally Lois Stevens (10yrs) won bronze in the 50m backstroke.

Also competing for Wyre Forest were Lucy Connolly, Alexandra Darby, Mollie Kilgour, Weronika Konopka, Maisie Lane, Mollie Pollock, Phoebe Seymour-Perry, Harriet Smith, Poppy Stant, Emily Watkiss, Bradley Baddams, Bailey Chamberlain and Douglas Lendon-Montros.

Wyre Forest finished third in the final of the Nuneaton League to earn promotion to Division One. They had 188 points and finished behind winners Orion, and Rugby.

Jasmin Yates, who raced in the 25 metre backstroke, also gained the competition best time trophy, while Emily Seymour-Perry (50m backstroke) and the under-11s freestyle relay team of Olivia Jay, Emily Seymour-Perry, Ria Chance and Eden Fallon- Davies also set the fastest times in the competition.

Trophies were also awarded to the under-10s girls medley relay team of Maia McCrindle, Lois Stevens, Niamh Larkin, Holly Workman and the Girls 8x1 freestyle relay group of Jasmin Yates, Niamh Larkin, Olivia Jay, Imogen Cook, Mia Walton, Holly Workman, Emily Seymour-Perry and Georgia Lees.

First places were also gained by Jay (U12s 50m breaststroke, U11s 50m breaststroke/butterfly), Larkin (10/U 50m breaststroke), Seymour-Perry (11/U 50m freestyle), Adam Newey (10/U 50m backstroke) as well as the girls 11/U medley relay team which consisted of Seymour- Perry, Jay, Ria Chance and Eden Fallon-Davies
