KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will have to deal with Barnet’s aerial bombardment if they are to surprise the leaders, says captain and coach Josh Gowling.

The Reds go to The Hive looking to build on Wednesday’s hard earned 2-1 win over Welling.

Barnet will be another big test for Harriers tomorrow. Martin Allen’s side are top of the Vanarama Conference.

The last time they tasted defeat at home was the 4-0 reverse against Halifax on April 12.

But they are a much tougher prospect in their own back yard this season with five wins and two draws, where they have conceded just four goals.

Gowling though will be back to bolster Kidderminster’s back line after serving a one-match ban.

But Gary Whild’s side have played well against the division’s best side and have beaten the likes of Woking and Gateshead.

“It’s not difficult to get up for a game like Barnet, they are a big team with a nice stadium and they have some good players,” said Gowling.

“We will be confident because when we play the betters teams we have done well.

“Their game is long ball, picking up the second ball and they work hard. They are a big side, so first and foremost we’ve got to be resilient and withstand that.”
