BEWDLEY rider Ross Danby was in good form at Redditch Motorcycle Club’s annual Terry Cup Christmas Pudding Trial on Sunday.

Danby won the event on his Jotagas bike, making light work of the 38 sections before eventually finishing on 22 marks.

More than 100 riders from all over the UK descended on Davis’s Yard in Astwood Bank for the event.

Churchill pro expert rider Steve Harris recovered well from a poor start.

He had failed the first section of the day but went on to take a creditable eighth place with a loss of 81 marks.

In the competitive master class, Adam Cope from Webheath on his Spanish 300cc Gas Gas finished just inside the top 15 with a loss of 52 points.

Walkwod’s Ian Strudley, who is an improving rider and one to watch in 2015, finished just behind Cope with a loss of 67 marks.

Mick Bowers, the ex-motorcycle shop owner from Studley, made a welcome return to the Midlands to ride in the event he last competed in over 30 years ago.
