KIDDERMINSTER Harriers’ board of directors are set to face a grilling from disgruntled shareholders at the club’s annual general meeting.

Monday evening’s showdown (7pm start) at the Aggborough Suite will be the first opportunity for fans to quiz those running the club over a series of burning topics face-to-face.

Supporters have urgent questions over Kidderminster’s perilous financial situation.

Fans remain mystified how Harriers are struggling to pay wages each month and rely on the backing of benefactors Kath and Ernie Lane, despite a money-spinning FA Cup run and a game at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, as well as selling the likes of Jamille Matt, Joe Lolley, Nathan Blissett and Marvin Johnson for hundred of thousands of pounds.

Last season’s abbreviated accounts revealed the club's net current liabilities had increased from £46,772 to £198, 517 by May last year.

Supporters are also worried about Harriers’ future, with manager Gary Whild warning that unless new investment was found, the club could become part-time once again.

With the Aggborough outfit’s future still uncertain, shareholders, including major ones such as Barry Norgrove, Jane Murrant and Neil Savery, will want to know what plans are in place for the 2015-16 campaign.

Fans will also want to learn if the Lanes will continue to back the club next season and what blueprint the board have in place if they decide to stop their financial support.

Meanwhile, Whild has not given up hope of making the play-offs after two disappointing results.

Harriers were held to a 0-0 draw at Nuneaton and were beaten 2-0 at Vanarama Conference play-off rivals Gateshead.

Kidderminster are now in eighth place, nine points off the play-offs spots.

He said: “It’s fine margins at the moment, we created chances but didn’t take them and Gateshead did.

“We’re on a run like at the start of the 2012-13 season and all it takes is a one goal to get us going again.

“We always go out to win games and we will definitely be trying to win as many as we can until the end of the season.”

Harriers tackle seventh-placed Halifax at home on Saturday looking for a vital win (3pm ko).
