STOURPORT Ladies got back on track in the Investec National Western League when they got the better of Exeter-based Isca 3-0 on Saturday.

The visitors started the stronger side, putting the home defence under pressure and found themselves in the lead within three minutes through Lora Symonds.

Stourport dominated and when an Isca defender turned the ball into her own goal after 23 minutes, and it was no less than Stourport deserved.

Claire Pearson effectively ended the match as a contest with a goal in the opening minutes of the second half. The visitors maintained their performance level ending the match with a clean sheet for the first time this season.

They face a double header this coming weekend, away to Oxford Hawks on Saturday and then they entertain Slough in a rearranged match on Sunday.

The fourths claimed the bragging rights in their match against Kidderminster last weekend, winning 3-0.

Katie Walker, Lena Sophie-Ivens and Leanne Styzaker were all on target.

The men’s first team beat Midlands Division One side Old Silhillians 11-0, with David Knott, Peter Clarke, Dan Hurley (3), Andy Cavendish (2), Chris Hill, Dan Petrie (2) and Simon Claris scoring.
