HARRIERS face another huge game in their bid to make the Vanarama Conference play-offs when they tackle rivals Halifax at Aggborough tomorrow.

The Reds face a vital game if they are to keep their slim chances of making the end of season promotion party alive.

Trailing fifth-placed Forest Green by eight points, having played more games than most of their rivals.

The Shaymen are one place and three ahead but have lost just once game in eight and in good form.

In contrast, Kidderminster have won just once in six league games and have hit the back of the net just twice.

But defender Jamie Grime remains upbeat about Kidderminster’s Football League chances.

“We don’t think it’s gone for this season,” he said.

“We’ve been there or thereabouts all season and we need that final push; we need to take that chance.

“We still believe we’re still in there and we’re hoping that the pain of defeat against Gateshead will spur us on into Saturday to beat Halifax, and then kick on from there because there’s still plenty to play for.

“We can’t afford anymore slip-ups but it’s there for us and if we’re going to get in the play-offs we’ve got to go and do it - simple as that.”

Manager Gary Whild has no new injury worries ahead of the clash.

Halifax boss Neil Aspin said: “I think we have played okay recently, I think we can play better but we have done enough in recent games.”

“Kidderminster can be as good or as bad as anyone in the league.”
