GARY Whild took the positives out of yesterday's 2-1 loss at Torquay United.

A brace for Ryan Bowman shot down the Reds, whose wait for a win now stretched to nine games.

Bowman opened the scoring in the 23rd minute but Lee Hughes had levelled in the 62nd minute.

But Harriers were stunned when Bowman bagged a winner in the 65th.

The goal was harsh on Kidderminster, who had improved after a poor first 45 minutes to boss the second half.

Whild said: "I thought in the second half we did enough to get something out of the game.

"But when you are having a spell like we are things goes against you.

"If it could have stayed at 1-1 it would have been different.

"If we could have kept in the game then we would have gone onto to win.

"We were a little bit fragile for the second goal. It was a good finish but could have been avoided."

The manager and captain Josh Gowling also went over to thank the 216 Kidderminster supporters and shook many of them by the hand.

The fans had endured a testing and delayed trip to Devon, with junctions eight to 11 closed on M5 after a fuel tanker crash.

Whild added: "The support the fans gave the lads was fantastic.

"In all fairness, they understand where we are as a club.

"They were outstanding and the lads reacted to that in the second half."
