MARK Creighton hailed Harriers after they held table-topping Barnet to a 1-1 draw at Aggborough.

Kidderminster more than held their own against the Bees, who were hoping to seal the Vanarama Conference title.

But a much-changed side matched the away team for effort and took the lead through Danny Wright in the 39th minute.

Lee Hughes had also a call for a penalty, after he had been fouled by Elliott Johnson, ignored by the referee.

Barnet inevitably upped their game after the break but found keeper Danny Lewis in defiant form before substitute Luisma Villa.

"I thought the boys were fantastic, the shift they put in was exactly what we wanted them to do," said Creighton.

"We told them to go and give the fans something to get behind and we did that.

"I thought Lee Hughes was denied a clear cut penalty in the first half.

"I think we deserved a draw, I don't think we deserved to get beat.

"Danny Lewis made some good saves but we were worthy of our point."

Manager Gary Whild has rang the changes after last week's defeat to Welling, drafting in Kevin Nicholson, the recalled Jordan Tunnicliffe and Josh O'Keefe, who made his first Harriers appearance since the end of October.

With the club set to reduce their budget for next season, this was the last home game many of the squad would feature in for Harriers.

Meanwhile, reliable right-back Jared Hodgkiss won four awards at the end of season presentation.

He was manager's, players' and supporters' player of the year and picked up a gong for the most man of the match awards.

Jamie Grimes was the away fans' choice and junior supporters player of the season.
