NINE members from Wyre Forest Swimming Club have been selected by Worcester to attend Development camps in May and October this year.

The camps will be led by Russ Barber, Head Coach of City of Sheffield Swimming Club, and one of the coaches chosen to accompany the GB team to Kazan for the World Championships.

Milly Jay, Niamh Larkin, Holly Workman, Olivia Jay, Sam Baggott, Alex Farmer, Ryan Larkin, Adam Newey and Rosie Lane have all been chosen.

Head coach Mark Wilmott added: “I am immensely proud of each of the swimmers for their selections to these camps.

"Each of the swimmers will have the opportunity to learn from an incredibly insightful coach with a wealth of experience, in turn gaining much more knowledge about what is required to take their swimming development to the next level.”

Meanwhile, the club hosted the fourth round of the ROSS PGL League and came second.

There were first places for Lois Stevens (12/u backstroke), Nathan Lad (9 yrs freestyle), Aaron Lad (11/u butterfly), Mollie Kilgour (10/u freestyle), William Garner (11/u backstroke) and James Rushton (10/u breaststroke).
