STOURPORT kept the pressure on the top two sides in Worcestershire Division Two with a 248 run victory over mid-table Lye.

Batting first, Michael Pratt hit a magnificent 108 with excellent support from skipper Craig Siwicki (51 not out) and 41 from Bevan Neil, as the Wyre Forest side were able to post an impressive 313 for 6.

In reply, Lee Waldron took early wickets in his 3-28, Matt Delo (3-9) and 2-3 from Siwicki saw Lye rushed out for 65 in the 21st over to give Stourport an excellent 248 run victory.

This Saturday sees Stourport travel to division leaders Bredon and they will be aiming to close the 25 point gap.

The club's most remarkable victory of the day came at Hagley as Stourport’s youthful second team chased down 344.

In a side containing six under 19 players ,Stourport’s bowlers were put to the sword as Hagley set a huge target.

Sam Foley the pick of the attack with 4-54.

In reply ,all the batsmen made contributions, with Mark Moss (88), Sam Hayes (73) and Spencer Colley (45) the highlights as Stourport passed their victory target in the 48th over for the loss of eight wickets.

Stourport thirds and fourths remain unbeaten as they both recorded victories against Enville Mark Gleeson (87) and 15-year-old Charlie Foley (53) helping Stourport to 27808 from their 50 overs.

Ollie Pratt returned remarkable figures of 1-9 from 10 overs and 3-28 from Alex Lavery saw Enville bowled out for 158.

The fourths beat Enville by 20 runs Stourport scoring 158-9 before restricting Enville to 138-9.

In Division Three, Chaddesley Corbett got the better of Himbleton by seven wickets.

Himbleton were bowled out for 236 and Corbett made 237-3, with runs for Tahseel Ahmadzai (48), Zakria Mukhtar (50), Asif Iqbal (45), Matthew Yardley (26no) and Muhammad Saddiq (42no).
