KIDDERMINSTER Harriers remain confident that the playing surface at Aggborough will be in good shape for the start of the 2015-16 season.

The club requested the Worcestershire Senior Cup final between Redditch United and Worcester City to be moved to Bromsgrove Sporting as a precaution.

Harriers, who spent £40,000 resolving the drainage issues this summer, played their first home game of pre-season against Birmingham City on Saturday.

Club general manager Robin Lamb confirmed that there were small tramline areas where the new drainage had been put in but was sure the problem would be resolved.

He also remained confident that Tuesday night’s home clash against Shrewsbury (7.45pm ko) was in no danger of being moved away from Aggborough.
