KIDDERMINSTER Victoria's love affair with the Birmingham League's win-lose format shows no sign of losing its passion.

The Chester Road club continued their 100 per cent record of this format with a seventh straight win following their 94 run success over defending champions West Bromwich Dartmouth and skipper Matt Pardoe quipped: "It's a pity they don't have the win-lose format throughout the whole season!

Pardoe led from the front, the former Worcestershire opening bat plundering a magnificent 137 which included nine sixes and 11 fours.

Neil Pinner also got in on the act compiling 60 while Michael Hill hit a further 67.

They helped Kidderminster reach a huge 345 for eight before dismissing Dartmouth for 215 in reply.

Pardoe admitted: "It wasn't the easiest of wickets to bat on and it was a bit tough with the new ball. I had to play myself in, but once we'd got through that runs came - which was good seeing as I've been going through a bit of a run drought.

"It was good to see Michael Hill back amongst the runs as well and a bit of a relief, especially as he has been playing well for Staffordshire in the Minor Counties League.

"If I'm honest, Dartmouth didn't bowl as well as you'd expect, especially with their line-up.

"We bowled really well and kept it tight, even when the Duckworth-Lewis system came into play, although we didn't need it in the end as we bowled them out on a fast scoring ground.

"Charlie Stainforth bowled his left arm spin fantastically well and he could have easily got five or six wickets had his luck been in, although he did capture the prize wicket of Kadeer Ali."

The result leaves Kidderminster 40 points adrift of leaders Shrewsbury with four games left to play.

Kidderminster entertain Walmley on Saturday and then play hosts to Wolverhampton on Bank Holiday Monday - both 12 noon starts.
