TWO Stourport teenagers have been called up to England Hockey’s Under-18s squad.
Midfielder Simon Claris and goalkeeper Alex Cook have been selected for the 31 group, which attended the first training session at Lilleshall at the weekend.
They will also attend a host of training camps across 2016 and could be selected for international fixtures.
The pair, who started at Stourport Hockey Club, were selected after playing for Mercia Lynx in the Futures tournament.
Cook, 17, is a sixth form student at Stourport High School, while Claris is now a pupil at Repton School in Derbyshire and plays for Beeston.
