CYCLING: Wyre Forest CRC’S Jamie Crump bounced back to form with a ninth place finish in the latest round of the Woolly Mamil promoted circuit races at the Stourport Sports Club.
With the windy conditions making close formation riding difficult, Crump settled in with a second group of eight riders fighting for seventh place and used his sprinting ability to hold his position in the uphill finish.
Aimee Lane found the competition tougher than the previous week in the under-14s girls race and had to settle for second place in the sprint finish.
Chris Crump, riding his first circuit races in this series, had a tough race with the younger fourth category riders, but held his position well to finish 23rd from 43 finishers.
The final races in the series will be on Saturday.
