HIGHLY-rated Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Ousmane Fane has been linked with a move to SkyBet League One outfit Oldham Athletic.

The gifted powerhouse was absent from Tuesday night’s 4-1 win over Hereford at Aggborough.

While the official line from the club said he missed the clash because of a toe injury, there was speculation on a Latics’ fans site that the lanky enforcer featured on trial for Oldham against Wigan Athletic.

At the time of going to press, Harriers declined to comment but an update about the situation was expected in last night’s fans’ forum.

Fane signed a deal in January which keeps him at Aggborough until the end of next season, meaning the Reds can command a fee for the exciting prospect.

Meanwhile, manager John Eustace was delighted with the second half display which blew away the Bulls as Mani Dieseruvwe, new signing Tyrell Waite, Arthur Gnahoua and a trialist all scored in an emphatic second half.

Waite signed a one year deal after impressing the management team with four goals in pre-season.

He said: “Hereford are a fantastic team and they were very successful last season so this was a fantastic test and I am happy with the performance overall.

“We created some good opportunities in the first half without the final ball but in the second I was pleased overall.

“It’s pre-season and it’s all about the team getting fitter and stronger and preparing for the first game.”

Harriers complete their packed pre-season programme with three more games, starting with a game at Halesowen Town tonight (7.45pm ko).

Kiddy go to National North champions Solihull Moors on Saturday (3pm ko) and then finish their preparations at home to Birmingham City next Tuesday (7.30pm ko).

Eustace was set to make decisions about the numerous trialists that have played during pre-season, including Jordan Murphy, who played in the Worcestershire Senior Cup win over Redditch United on Saturday.

The Reds boss added: “We haven’t made any decisions on the other trialists.

"Everyone is working very hard and we will have to wait see.”
