BEWDLEY Regatta saw plenty of action with the hosts and local rivals Worcester stealing the show in the marque eight sprints races on Saturday.
Hundreds of crews and thousands of spectators descended to watch the racing over the weekend.
Bewdley’s crew of Mike Parker, John Hinton, Jimmy Watson, Callum Clifford, Gareth Brown, Rob Heath, Nick Hinton, Sam Clifford cox Lorna Wilson won the men’s sprint races, sponsored by the Mug House Inn, while Worcester took the women’s category.
Among the highlights for the club was the senior pair of Matt Hocking and Aston Carter, defeating Northwich and Stourport to take the title.
Bewdley’s junior crew of Brendan Wrighton, James Myatt, Ed Frost and Joe Smith, coxed by Sophie Osborne, stepped up to race senior men in the IM2 coxed fours event, beating Northwich in a close fought semi final and Minerva Bath in the final to win on Saturday.
Ben Charlton, debuting in the novice singles, recorded wins over Minerva and Oxford on Saturday and then successfully stepped up to take the IM3 event on Sunday.
New members from the Pub and Club Regatta also took part in an exhibition race.
